About Us

Angela Tin, Vice President | Clean Air  is an environmental and regulatory compliance professional with a Bachelor’s Degree in Physiology and Master’s Degree in Cell Biology. Prior to working at the ALAUM, Angela worked for the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency for more than 20 years in managerial and policy levels in the Bureaus of Air, Land and Water. As the current Vice President of Environmental Health for the American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest, Angela is primarily responsible for managing and prioritizing environmental projects associated with the organization’s mission. Angela is a Licensed Radon Measurement and Mitigation Professional in the State of Illinois.

 

John DeRosa, Director | Clean Air is a graduate of Illinois College. He received his Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Environmental Biology. He is currently working as an Environmental Programs Director for the American Lung Association of Illinois, where he has been working since August of 2006. As an Environmental Programs Director, John is responsible for coordinating ALAIL’s indoor and outdoor air quality programs. John interned with the Illinois EPA, Bureau of Air, Clean Fuels Program, which is designed to promote the use of alternative fuels throughout the state. John is a Licensed Radon Measurement and Mitigation Professional in the State of Illinois.

 

Abby Brokaw, Director | Clean Air is a graduate from the University of Illinois. She received her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Natural Resources and Environmental Science and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Studies. She is currently working as an Environmental Programs Director with the American Lung Association in Illinois. Her previous work experience includes 2 years as a Sustainability Coordinator at North Central College in Naperville and 2 years as an intern in the Federal Site Remediation Section at the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency. Abby is a Licensed Radon Measurement and Mitigation Professional in the State of Illinois.

 

Kallie Sinkus, Manager | Clean Air is an Environmental Programs Manager with the ALAUM. She received a MA in Environmental Studies from the University of Illinois and has a BS in Biology from Culver-Stockton College, Canton, MO. Kallie’s previous work experience includes 2 years as a policy coordinator in the Division of Environmental Health at the Illinois Department of Public Health through the Graduate Public Service Internship Program. She was also a Governor Environmental Corps (GEC) intern with the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, where she assisted with the coordination of the Junior GEC program. Kallie is a Licensed Radon Measurement and Mitigation Technician in the State of Illinois. Kallie is also a certified LEED Associate.

 

Bailey Arnold, Manager | Clean Air received an Associate of Arts Degree with Honors in Architectural Construction Technology from Lincoln Land Community College in Springfield, Illinois, and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geography from Illinois State University in Normal, Illinois. His previous work included more than two years of environmental project management at a large theater chain and an internship with the Ecology Action Center in Normal, Illinois. Bailey currently serves as an instructor for ALARadonCourses.org and is a licensed Radon Measurement and Mitigation Technician in the State of Illinois. Bailey also holds an ICP Poison Prevention Education Certificate.

 

Samantha Coad, Manager | Clean Air is a two-time graduate of the University of Illinois at Springfield. She received her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Biology with minors in English and Environmental Studies in 2013 and a Master’s Degree in Environmental Studies in 2015. Samantha previously interned with the Illinois EPA in the Bureau of Air, Air Monitoring unit and is currently serving the American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest. Samantha is a licensed Measurement Technician in the State of Illinois.

 

Stephanie Huber, Manager | Clean Air is a graduate from Illinois Wesleyan University. She received her Bachelor’s Degree of Arts in Environmental Studies with a concentration in Chemistry. Her previous work experience includes interning for DuPage County’s Stormwater Management, the Ecology Action Center in Bloomington-Normal, and Brookfield Zoo. Stephanie currently serves as an instructor for ALARadonCourses.org and is a licensed Radon Measurement and Mitigation Technician in the State of Illinois. Stephanie is a licensed Measurement Technician in the State of Illinois.

 

An Nguyen, Manager | Clean Air previously interned with the Green Institute at Heartland Community College, Illinois Green Business Association, and the Vietnam EPA in Ho Chi Minh City. She has worked with the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) as a project consultant for a sustainable seafood campaign in the Mekong Delta.  An is currently working as a Clean Air Manager with the American Lung Association of the Upper Midwest. An is a licensed Radon Measurement Technician.

 

Hannah Fyfe, Manager | Clean Air graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Illinois at Springfield in 2014 and a Master’s of Science Degree in Environmental Sciences from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 2016. Hannah’s previous work experience includes an internship at the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency in the Bureau of Air through the Governor’s Environmental Corps program.

 

Cathy Byus, Coordinator | Clean Air has been working for the American Lung Association in Illinois since 2001. She currently manages accounting operations for ALAUM's Environmental Programs team. She is also a treasurer for the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency Partner’s for Clean Air Coalition. Cathy has obtained a Radon Measurement Certificate from the American Lung Association in Illinois.
